Bring The Hunt to Your Town

The Hunt is expanding into new cities, and we’re looking for franchise partners who want to build a locally rooted business centered on great experiences, strong relationships, and measurable impact for local businesses.


As a franchisee, you introduce a new kind of live, story-driven entertainment to your market and work directly with retailers, restaurants, and entertainment venues to bring people through their doors.


You run The Hunt in your territory by building the partner network and driving local player adoption. Your day-to-day looks like:

  • Recruit and onboard partner locations
    Prospect, pitch, sign, and launch retailers/venues in the app—then keep the partner base healthy and growing.


  • Help partners define a strong offer
    Work with each location to create a clear, compelling offer (coupon, discount, free item, upgrade, perk, or exclusive reward) that makes the stop feel worth it for players.
     
  • Design the in-store stop experience
    Help partners decide what players will do when they arrive—ranging from very simple to highly interactive, for example:
     
    • Simple: player finds/scans a visible QR and the staff honors the offer
       
    • Light interaction: staff hands over the QR, stamp, or clue after a quick prompt
       
    • More immersive: QR is earned via a mini in-store challenge, hidden placement, staff role-play, or a physical puzzle tied to the location
       
  • Launch, support, and optimize partner participation
    Make sure locations are set up correctly, staff understands the flow, QR placement works, and the stop runs smoothly for players.
     
  • Drive local growth for the app
    Promote downloads and repeat play through grassroots marketing, partnerships, and community engagement—so partners see real new visitors.
     
  • Facilitate private and custom Hunts
    Work with companies, groups, or organizations to set up private Hunts for team-building, celebrations, or sponsored experiences, and support custom Hunts for specific areas or themes when opportunities arise.
     


Franchisees grow The Hunt through hands-on, grassroots promotion. Successful approaches may include:  


Community & Campus Engagement

  • Partnering with college campuses, student groups, fraternities/sororities, and clubs
  • Collaborating with student orgs to run Hunt nights and events
  • Working with young professional groups and social clubs


Retailer Led Promotion

  • Encouraging partners to promote their Hunt participation in-store (signage, table tents, window decals) 
  • Helping retailers post about The Hunt on their social channels
  • Coordinating cross-promotion between nearby Hunt locations


On The Ground Promotion

  • Placing posters or flyers in high-traffic, Hunt-adjacent locations (cafés, gyms, bars, campus boards) 
  • Participating in local festivals, markets, and street events
  • Hosting informal “Hunt nights” where people are encouraged to try it together
     

Partnerships & Word of Mouth

  • Partnering with bars, breweries, and cafés to create natural starting points
  • Collaborating with local influencers, DJs, trivia hosts, or community personalities
  • Leveraging retailer staff as ambassadors who understand and talk about the Hunt


Digital Promotion

  • Running geo-targeted social ads to drive downloads
  • Creating simple local social content showcasing participating locations
  • Encouraging players to share their experience organically


How Franchisees Earn

Franchisees earn revenue by signing on partner locations and driving participants into partner locations through The Hunt experience. Every visitor delivered has value, and your income grows as participation grows.


That means your success is directly tied to:

  • Selecting the right mix of partner locations
  • Helping those partners engage well with Hunt participants
  • Building awareness in your community so Hunts stay active

In short, driving traffic to partners is how you build the business.

 

Fresh Content, Ongoing Energy

We are continuously creating new Hunts, storylines, and themes to keep the experience fresh and repeatable. Franchisees benefit from a growing library of content that can be launched, rotated, and refreshed over time to keep players coming back and partners engaged.


Who Makes a Strong Franchisee


Great franchisees tend to share a few practical traits:

  • Outgoing and result oriented.
  • Comfortable working directly with local business owners
  • Strong understanding of local marketing needs of small businesses
  • Organized and dependable when managing details
  • Engaged in the local community 
  • Able to work around the schedules of busy retailers


This role does not need to be full-time.   Franchisees may operate The Hunt alongside another job or business. What matters most is flexibility and availability—much of the relationship-building happens outside standard business hours, when retailers and entertainment venues are actually open.
